ERMINGTON OOSH
Ermington Out of School Hours Care provides high quality, Before and After School Care for children who attend Ermington Public School and Vacation Care for any school aged children in the local area. Our Centre is a not for profit community based Centre operated by a volunteer Parent Committee.
We aim to provide a fun, warm and safe environment for your children. We are committed to providing a quality program that allows the children to play and participate in a variety of experiences. The program includes a mixture of arts, crafts, activities, games, sport and cooking on a daily basis.
Our Philosophy
REGULAR EVENTS
We believe that OOSH should be a fun and supportive environment that promotes partnerships between home and the centre. We strive for open communication and good relations between parents, Educators, children, management and the community. We invite and welcome families to be involved in programming, planning and issues that relate to them by working collaboratively with the Educators.
PRACTICAL LEARNING
We believe that children should be given equal opportunities to explore and play, regardless of age or gender. Play empowers children to make their own choices, discover their own solutions and to develop at their own pace, in their own way. We aim to reflect an inclusive approach that develops positive gender, racial, cultural, class and individual identities.
QUALIFIED TEACHERS
Ermington OOSH respects children and believes that each child is an individual with unique and diverse needs and strengths. We aim to assist children to grow and learn and to develop positive self-esteem and independence.
PARENTS WELCOME
We believe that children have the right to feel safe in their environment and that consistent limits and guidelines assist children to develop secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships.
